Bob is starting a new project under the direction of artist Michael Anthony from L.A. The DVD will have originals and remakes from Michael Jackson, Steely Dan, Earth Wind & Fire, and the Allman Brothers. Back up musicians will all be from the L.A. area. Keep in touch for updates of this new DVD in the works.
Itinerary:
Bob is currently performing in the Central Florida area and playing large conventions across the U.S. Bob's new schedule is in process and will be updated and displayed shortly.
Equipment:
Bob worked for years on the Musser using the Gary Burton Mallets. He now is working solely on several KATS which enables him to have vibes, marimba, steel drums, and numerous other sounds and styles of music during his performance.
Biography:
Bob began his musicial talent playing drums at the age of 8 and continued music studies through college at the University of Connecticut. He attended many Gary Burton clinics and studied solely with David Freedman and Dave Samuels. In the 70’s, Bob was on the road with numerous R&B bands and performed many concerts through out the country with groups like Harold Melvin and the Blue Notes, Whirlwind, Lou Rawls, Ink Spots, Michael Anthony, Brian Setzer (Stray Cats) and many more. Bob was requested to also perform studio work through out N.Y. and L.A. for Billy Joel’s band, Rebecca Harris, Michael Anthony, Whirlwind, Joe Franklin T.V. show, and numerous commercial jingles. In the 90's, Bob played exclusive clubs, hotels, conventions, jazz concerts, studio work, store fashion shows, and short road tours. That work has continued today where Bob enjoys a rewarding mix of different venues to perform his music.
